Description
I am a tendershipper. Yes, I am and I've wanted to draw a BakuRyou for a while now.I always thought that Bakura was quite illiterate and I like the idea of Ryou teaching him to read. So that's what's going on here. I like how the transparency came out.
Also I own that sweater and the book is "Cat's Cradle." I was going to make it "Animal Farm" but Vonnegut is more Bakura's style.

I always loved to play around with the idea that all the Yami's were illiterate in the English language at least. Of course, Bakura and Atem would read Egyptian, but I always loved the idea that neither one of them could read English. It's nice to know someone else had that same idea. Also, I absolutely love how the layers came out. Faved instantly.

MID AIR GLOMPING ACTIVATE.
I love Ryou's face, and I love both their poses. This made me feel happy inside.
And now I have the overwhelming urge to hug something...

I love this picture because it is very different than what you find around the internet. Just a calm (non-bloody) picture. That's what I like about it the best :3

Aww, I pic where Bakura's actually nice. I love it. Yeah I agree that Bakura's illiterate, seeing as he probably only knows how to speak Japanese because Ryou does.
This makes me feel warm & fuzzy. lol

I actually have that green sweater. I couldn't think of the color of his old sweater so I just made it the same as my own.
So glad you like it. The transparency was the easiest part. The books were the part that almost killed me. XD

The transparency came out very well - might I ask how you managed to do it? I've been trying to capture that for a long time, and never quite got the hang of it,
I agree, too; Bakura would probably be illiterate (as I sit here and try not to delve into my nerdish knowledge of Egyptology and such!). If anything, he probably would've only known the absolute bare essentials in literacy.
...Grah. You've inspired me now.

Let me see...
I get Bakura's (Y.B.) inking, coloring, ect on separate layers than Ryou. Most do that all ready but I usually don't. You have to ink on separate layers. Then I resized and merged the layers. I labelled them "Bakura". (Other layers after merges were "Ryou1", "Ryou2" and "BG". The arm infront of Bakura was a separate layer. I'm surprised it flowed so well.) But to do the transparency, I took Bakura's layer and put it on 'Normal, 63%'. I tried a range with all settings and I liked some of the other effects but Normal seemed to look best.
He might have been able to read vulgar Egyptian, though I think that a different dynasty. But then I don't see TK as the book type. *mental images*
Yay, I inspire you now.
