Description
Poems are writtenOf summer days
Of June bugs and picnics
And sunset haze
Of friendships to strengthen
And trails to blaze
I know I have had
My fair share of this phase.
But heavy are poems
Of summer nights
When walls buzz with voices
And family fights
I turn myself over
And turn out the lights
Wishing that morning
Would set things to rights.
My life is a mess,
I must find a broom -
Sweep it under the rug -
Yes, what a nice room;
Another day wasted
Another balloon
To pop at this party
I hope to leave soon.
I'm tired of straining
To see from both sides
I'm tired of fumbling my words
When I try
I'm tired of silence
And tired of lies
I'm sick of this year
And its torturous ride.
I'm tired of writing
In strings of despair
Of darkening starlight
And sucking up air
I'm sick of bemoaning
That life isn't fair
At this rate I'm not going
To get anywhere.
I want a cold building
A student ID
And limitless time
In that huge library
I want to meet people
Who see life like me
I want a swift change
Of scenery.
I want a new textbook
And new winds to blow
And I like to hope
I'll have places to go,
Projects to finish,
And people to know
But I didn't want this
To be how I grow.

It sounds so simple... take what you're feeling, and make someone else feel it too.
Of course, it's not so simple, but you did it marvelously here.

It probably sounds silly coming from an old pagan like me, but remember your faith.

Thank you so much, friend. He never lets me down. There is hope for some family restoration through what I heard today, and I was blessed with an awesome day at work. 4ams happen, but they're not forever.

The greatest honor I can think of is to be called "friend." Thank you.
I am glad you had a good day at work.
