Because of kingdom hearts (Disney-Final Fantasy crossover), do you think Disney will buy square enix?

What an intriguing question
That is something I've been pondering for quite a while actually.
In my humble opinion it is unlikely, but still possible.
After allΒ Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that all characters present in Kingdom Hearts that are not from any FF game like Cloud are officially owned by Disney.
Yes, this indeed includes Sora. Sora's Voice actor, Haylee Osment, had also starred in several Disney movies like Hunchback 2.
In conclusion, Disney will probably not own the company, but rather, they might actually but the rights to the Kingdom Hearts Franchise

Disney never owned Dreamworks at all. They had a joint alliance, yes but it was to release thirty films under Touchstone between 2011 and 2016. Because it fell below expectations, only fourteen of the planned thirty films were made and released, though the upcoming two films planned to be Touchstone/Dreamworks co-productions, Girl in the Train and Ghost in the Shell, with the former becoming a Universal co-production and a latter becoming a Paramount co-production. Given that, Dreamworks is switching to Universal later this year plus Dreamworks Animation is going to be part of Universal as well.

why is dreamworks switching to Universal?

It's because several of the Touchstone co-produced films performed below expectations plus some of them were not released by Touchstone in other countries. Not only that, Steven Spielberg wasn't satisfied with the results either, so he decided not to extend the partnership after its five-year contract expired by switching to Universal, which supported Dreamworks from the start until 2005 when Paramount bought it and later sell it to Reliance three years later. This is also the reason why Girl in the Train andΒ Ghost in the Shell became a Universal co-production and a Paramount co-production after originally confirmed to be Touchstone co-productions. The poor results of their co-productions with Dreamworks along with the box office and critical failure of Strange Magic (a Lucasfilm animated film that Disney despised and refused to release it under Walt Disney Pictures) have derailed Touchstone as it's most likely going to be defunct after The Light Between OceansΒ comes out in September.
