Holy crap, this took forever for me to finish...I've been so busy these past few weeks. But I think overall I like it; I tried to play with lighting effects for the first time, so for once my picture doesn't look so...flat.Random Facts You Might Find Interesting:
*Elijah's sweatshirt says "Hahvahd" on it; I don't remember if I ever mentioned what college Elijah's doing his graduate program at, but I'd like to think it's Harvard. If not, Elijah just likes making fun of them.
*The pictures in the background are obviously pictures I've drawn before, but as Elijah's pictures, I'd like to think they're a little different. Jace's picture is his high school yearbook photo (complete with Generic Blue Background and deer in the headlights look), while the one with his mom, since it's so old now, I think I'll pretend he took when he was in high school. Aww.
*The oven mitts in the background were a gift from his mom, and explains why it matches nothing else in his apartment. The lone bottle of wine on the table was a house-warming (apartment-warming?) gift from Daniel that they finally cracked open. The many six packs of beer was a gift to himself.

you know, I totally caught you on the re-using-other-pictures-in-this-picture thing. yeah. uh-huh. also, who hangs oven mitts on the wall? also, I think the apartment could CERTAINLY be messier, and also in worse repair - you know, like stains on the floor/couch/wall - if it was really as bad as you made it out to be. also, I notice that Daniel's tie is undone here. possibly the more-relaxed surroundings make him relax more?

My family hung oven mitts on their kitchen wall, thankyouverymuch. And my abilities as an artist limit the messiness of Elijah's apartment. Details aren't exactly my strong suit.
And yes, to the last thing. But also because Daniel always feels like he's suffocating in Elijah's hovel.

Thanks! I'd like to think that in his own way, he's probably wearing that shirt ironically and making fun of Harvard. And ack--I couldn't quite get the leg right, it was driving me crazy the entire time, but I didn't know how to fix it. Ah well--more practice is always good! And you'd think it a world where someone wears school-specific sweatshirts, they could get name brand beer. But I don't advertise for free (also, I was lazy), so no.

I love how the light from the lamp hits the objects in the living room. And Also the different pictures in the back(even if you had already drawn them) that's a good way to make use of old pics to give ur new drawing a more comvincing look ^^ If this took you a long time and you stuck with it that means you're very passionated about what u do. :3 That's very admirable!!^^

What did you use for the line art(like what u used to draw it) and how did you color it? I hope im not bothering you with this...You dont have to answer if you dont want to. ^^

Thanks very much! I'm glad you like it! Oh man, it took me weeks! Well...actually, it took days, but still--longer than usual! And no way, I'd be glad to help! I used photoshop 7.0 for everything, lineart and coloring, and used a whole bunch of layers to get the coloring effects, like overlaying one base color over everything so the colors looked a little more blended together. It took a while, but it was fun! I just experiment around with layers and layer effects for coloring.

I didnt know.^^ You probably cant do that in my photoshop though... since its a freaking old ass version (photoshop 3.0 to be precise)Mine doesnt have the pen function and other stuff D: I wish I wasnt such a poor mexican. Thanks, I'm glad you think so! Yeah, Daniel totally attempted (multiple times) to get Elijah to move out of his rat-infested place and come live with him, but always ends up spending more time at Elijah's than his own swanky place anyway.

Yep, over the years, Daniel has gotten used to Elijah's shitty apartment. I'd like to think that he eventually even bought Elijah/himself a pull-out couch just because he knew he'd be over there so much.
