I just wanted to draw Ruby floating, so I drew Ruby floating. And then I wanted to put a background in and it turned out looking kind of like a sky. Then for some reason I made her glowing but then she looked like she was a ghost floating in the air, which is not what I wanted at all. So I threw in some cherry blossoms swirling around her because I thought that would make it look like she wasn't dead; apparently they're heart-shaped, so that's totally appropriate.Well, at least it looks nice.

It has a powerful mahou-shoujou (magical girl anime) feeling to it, but we know it's not a transformation or activation since she's always the sweet little girl. Instead, I like to think of it as some peaceful time to herself to take in all that's good in the world and let it wash over her, clearing away the bad.
Wow, that would be the absolute mostest bestest superpower EVER!
Anyway, she looks lovely and very much herself at peace here, and fantastic job of foreshortening her legs as they bend back, using both the calf shapes and (I could kiss you for this) carefully drawing the angles of the stripes on her stockings. The petals were a fantastic idea, especially with the hearts. Her expression seems to be one of "letting go," good for the scene. More than just any ordinary beautiful happiest Goth girl in the world.
