History
Rainpoppy was always a nervous cat, even from the beginning. When she was a kit she would stay be her mother's side, always afraid she might be crushed by her sister and brother. She wasn't exactly a runt, but she was small nonetheless. Her kithood was full of giggles and nervousness, but she loved her family no matter what.
She found herself opening up more thanks to her mentor. Ivybloom was a brave, blunt warrior; someone who secretly had a warm side. She only seemed to show this side to Rainpoppy, and her mate. The small she-cat was quite glad she had someone to talk to, and always wondered how it felt to be loved - romantically, of course. Ivybloom didn't exactly shape Rainpoppy's personality, for she did that herself, but she encouraged her not to be afraid.
Soon, Ivybloom was happily expecting kits, and Rainpoppy was given another mentor. But she always visited Ivybloom and her family.
Now Rainpoppy is living a rather happy life, with her best friend Ivybloom as well. She wonders what adventures she'll take as a warrior.

Anything we should know about you? Well, I'm really into Warriors, lol. My drawing isn't all that great, as you can see. But I guess you could say I try. I'm pretty (really) shy, so if I always say "if you want", or "maybe" or "sorry", then it means I'm being insecure. Don't mind that, whoopsie. I don't curse (at like, all), and I'm comfortable with it, I just can't lol. I usually use foods for curse words. I really like to roleplay, so it's nice to find rp partners!

Rainpoppy, unfortunately, had no good luck with prey today. She didn't catch anything - well, anything that lasted more than a bite - and she felt a bit frustrated. The small she-cat was clumsy, she knew this herself, but it still made her feel aggravated. She was nervous that she wouldn't be able to serve her clan properly thanks to this, so therefore she was trying to catch something all day. A bird? Nope, almost clawed her ears off! A rabbit? No, of course not! Too fast.
With a long sigh, Rainpoppy flopped herself on a large rock, trying to let the pleasing feeling of the cool stone an warm sun calm her nerves. It helped, in a way. Although that cold lump in her throat lingered, it wasn't that intense for her to notice.

Like usual, the sky despite it being sunhigh, was darkened. Clouds hid the sun, blocking light from illuminating the Flareclan territory. The trees all being charred black made hiding so much easier. Though it certainly made finding prey a much harder task, it had benefits. The smell had always been comforting, and even during the winter, the earth, and tree bark, despite being caked in snow, would feel quite warm. It was as if the terrain itself was sucking in the suns heat at every moment of every day.
In the clearing a small bird rested itself in it's center, surrounded by rocks and darkened earth and grass. Just sitting there, calming inspecting the ground beneath it.
Out of nowhere, bounding in from not to far away came Shimmerstar. He flung from out of a blackened bush and tackling the bird. As he collided with it, he dug his claws into it's flesh as he he dove into a somersault carrying it. Sitting up again his bit it in the neck, causing it stop struggling in it's entirety, ending it's life.
Letting go and putting it down to rest, he looked up to see Rainpoppy resting on a rock before him.
"Mornin' Rainpoppy!" He called to her, with his usually welcoming smile.

Rainpoppy had already had her eyes set on him before he noticed her, amazed upon how easily he killed the poor bird. Well, it looked easy anyway. How did he do that? She decided to greet her leader with a smile, letting her chin rest on her paws. "Good morning, Shimmerstar." She was glad he greeted her first, or else she would have made it a bit awkward. It was just her nature, after all.
She tilted her head to the side, an awkward task thanks to her paws sort of being in the way, but nonetheless she pulled it off. "Really nice catch you have there..! You made it look so easy!" She mewed, letting a chuckle bubble from her chest.
"I haven't caught anything all day," she sighed, a nervous smile resting on her muzzle. "Mind giving a gal some advice?"

Letting his muzzle upturn in a slightly cocky smirk, he purred with pride. Frayed tail swaying spastically behind him.
"Why Thank you!!" He beamed, eyes shining with joy.
Rising to a standing position, he met her gaze. Ears twitching curiously. He didn't blame her, after all every warrior had days like those.
"Of course! I'd love to help ya out!" He purred.
"What kinda prey do ya wanna catch? Bird? Vole? Mouse?" He listed quickly while grinning cheekily.

"Mice, please," she replied with a grin, tail swising side to side. Rising to her paws, she slid off the rock accidentally, somehow finding a way to stay on her toes in the process. When she didn't find her face in the dirt, she turned to him, relieved.
She didn't know if there was a certain way to catch mice easily, but she could use the advice.

"OOoOOooh!" Shimmerstar gaped. "Those are speedy little vermin aren't they?" He cooed, frayed tail swaying.
"Mice are really good at sensing you from far away, so the best thing to note is you have to be VERY quiet." he explained, puffing up his chest with pride. "My dad used to tell it's best to catch any ground level prey by surprising them! SO you must hence keep hushed and hidden, as the element of surprise is your most useful ally! I usually hide in bushes, tends to catch my tail, but nothing major. Don't do anything that could hurt you though." he suggested, explaining everything thoughtfully.
"Now let's go find a mouse and test it out!" He beamed with energy.
