gOD it's good to be done with this ref, here's hoping I can still get my assignments done in time, ha- This has lowkey been my big coping device this week. This was a real tough one but honestly... I'm so proud of this reference.
I might be playing her in a game soon ;o; I've been endlessly gushing to my DM about possibly playing her.

As you might notice, Piko is actually a small sized aarakocra, at only 3'0 instead of a tall 5'0 or over. She's based off the Korean Crow-Tit, which is a very teeny round bird, so I thought making her smaller makes sense imo-
All that aside, let's get into that sweet lore!

Piko was adopted by a dwarven blacksmithing couple when she was just a little egg. Since she was just a year old, she was raised making armor, weapons, all matter of battle ready gear. She knows an armory inside and out, and thus artificing was a natural choice for her to pursue. But seeing all these adventuring parties come through her dads shop, hearing all their stories of slaying dragons and the like just made her yearn for her own adventure.

So, one day around when she'd turned 6, she decided that it was time to find her own adventure, her own party. She flew to the nearest guild, slapped down a wanted posted to the guildmaster, and... was laughed at. "How could something as small and as cute as you even be a threat?!" they said, taking the poster away and handing it over to a much taller armored adventurer. She tried everywhere, every guild, every inn, every bar, and was always laughed at. She almost gave up... almost.

An idea sparked itself in her head. If she really looked so cute, she'd find a way to be what they wanted, something intimidating, terrifying even. She drew up some plans, showing them to her dads and explaining everything that'd happened. Knowing just how much their little girl had wanted to adventure, they agreed to help her make the armor.

Halfway through the process of making it, Piko had a realization, she didn't really know how to fight with anything aside from her hammer or a staff. If she really wanted to look like a knight, she'd have to train as one. She struck a deal with a Fighter who was getting a new set of armor made, offering to make the set for free in exchange for sword fighting lessons. After all her training, a year later, her dads gave her one last gift to see her off. It was her very own greatsword. Shedding many tears between the three of them, Piko finally ventured off, determination in her heart.

...An imposing figure walked into the Crow's fang inn, snatching a bounty from the board and slamming it down onto the counter, turning heads not in amusement, but in fear this time. A gruff voice rattled from the helm.
"I'm taking this bounty..."
The barkeep nodded nervously, as the figure then turned to walk away, sword dragging noisily across the ground. If only they'd seen the smile on this little bird's face. Rumors seemed to spread soon after, all started by some little cute little aarakocra in a bar, about how they'd seen this horrifying knight, and how strong they were. She was the one to give him a name, "The Iron Judge."
