Description
The Kazon are a violent and waring race of aliens first encountered by the U.S.S Voyager in the year 2371. The Kazon are divided into eighteen different sects, that fight within each other for different resources and are a constant treat to the crew of the Voyager. So this model was pretty fun and actually went together quite nice. i went with a little different paint scheme than what the default suggested but i think it still looks very Kazon. The ship design is quite odd but i really like the weird oblong look. was going to add some phaser hits(and still might at some point) but got to painting and totally forgot. This kit is big and was well worth the $12us i paid for it. kinda wish it looked dirtier, i had it dusted with pastels but my top coat really cut down on the weathering. overall i am happy and it does looks mighty impressive siting on my shelf.

Well, it just so happens that I'm colourblind, so I know that feeling! I think it's great though! You've got lots of really nice stuff here.

ahhhh i have a friend IRL that is as well.
yea i paint stuff weird cause i gotta be different and is more fun for me. plus for the last few months i pretty much swiched over to bashing projects and geting more into scratch building. So that gives me free rain to paint things how i want. anyways been at it for a few years now, only getting to the point that i am staring to be happy with my results.

Brilliant! I think that once creative things start to become a labour, it isn't really art anymore. The results are good, top notch stuff!

absolutely! alot of the people that get into scale modeling are very inspired by the real life counter parts, i am am inspired by sci-fi and games. so that's just how i roll, its how i have the most fun, take the most risks and produce the best results. it does kinda make a black sheep sometimes but that's what happens when you strap railguns to stuff XD

Your 'deviations' from the recommended paint scheme seem to bring out the details better than the standard colors.

thanks dude!
yea i just couldn't do it all in one color like it suggested, and who knows there was like 18 sects of kazon, so there might of been a ship like this.

Yeah, what do you think I've been doing?
I'm gonna do my next build normal, just to see if I can stay on the rails...right after the piece I have almost finished.
One or two more touch-ups to go.

thank you buddy.
i was quite surprised by this one. i had read a few horror story's about the kit, but it turned out to be a pretty decent model. its quite big too(hard to tell from photo) but its over a foot long and wide as well. looks quite impressive on display next to my red baron.

thanks again dude, up in till my "red baron" everything was shot without editing or using some sort of photoshop. but i kinda feel like using a program to enhance my work(not correct mistakes) is just the next step for me as an artist.
