I had a cold all week, but stared to feel better today and as luck would have it the weather outside was pretty nice. striking at the opportunity i got a bit of priming done on my kitbashed Humvee. there are a few more sub-assembly's and details i gotta build and the Humvee need some more sanding,but it is just about ready to paint up.while everything was drying i got a bit of rough work done on the figurines. the guy in the back looks cool but the driver doesn't look right to me, ill probably be Frankensteining him before i am done. i have most of the interior parts in a box, waiting for primer/paint.to get a rough idea of what i am gonna want and where it will go you can see i have already started to play with some stowage. of course by the end i want this thing really loaded up.
over the course of next week i plan on getting to paint the Humvee and build up the roof mounted gun. not really sure what i am gonna do yet, i want some thing high tec or sci-fi but the weight might make the roof sit weird and i might have to settle with either gluing the roof closed or using a light machine gun.

yea i like those wheels alot better than what had come with the kit(ripped them off an old German model)

great cant wait, i will try put up some photos of the M1070, and a Ferrari F189 i did for the model show in Canberra, sadly didnt win with it but i am very happy with the car

Way cool man, thanks for sharing again, makes me regret lighting all those fire works in my old models (although fun at the time). Pressures on, I have high expectations 
I think you should do a smaller weapon in the style of the Odens main gun, in tandem with something over under like a 50cal, and 40mm grenade launcher, and or missile pod.
Has anyone drawn or digitized action scenes of this yet? Used these in diorama photographs for a sci fi book?

i blew up a few models myself back in my youth, i regret nothing XD
yea thats what i was thinking, put a couple MGs mounted in the back and have some sort of railgun or something on the roof. i left my self a little wiggle room and there are spots on the Humvee to "plug" wires into. if the rail gun does turn out tooo heavy(might make roof lopsided and i dont want to glue roof shut) ill have to remember and find some grenade launcher, and or missile pod.
nope not yet, maybe someday tho, who knows. i would LOVE if something like that happened.

Hey maybe you could counter balance with some small lead weights in the cabin or under chasey, make it heavier in the bottom so it wont tip with a heavy gun, like those old inflatable dummies with sand in the bottom, knock em back and they stand back up... Just thought it might help. Keep at the good work.

that is a brilliant idea(now i feel slow for not thinking of it lol) i have been dreading that roof and mounted gun(have been procrastinating on it) but with that in mind it really should work. thanks a ton! should be able to do a sci-fi gun for it, awesome!

Hmm, I personally couldn't work with a finished kit like that. I thought about repainting some of my tanks (such as Challenger or Leopard 2) but in the end I didn't have the heart to do it...
But I must admit the Humvee looks cooler now...
Also, those men seem to need a helping hand or two I guess...

a few of my older models i am pretty senamental about but some are just asking for it.
yea this thing was kinda of a crappy kit made a bit worse by some warping and fit issues. when i got it i kinda rushed it, did do anything extra for it and compared to my other models really UN-impressive.it was missing stuff, kids got there hands on it and it was covered in dust. it was either bash or throw in the trash. i really don't have the heart for that, hopefully it will turn out better this time.

when i say "play" i really mean it, with noises and everything. honestly as i build i kinda daydream about the back story and try not to get tied down to much to any one "idea" or "plan". sometimes this works out pretty good other times not so much.

sometimes i feel like planing everything can take the spark out of something. if you dont plan sometimes just seeing where things take you, you get amazing results sometimes, opposed to the just good results if you planed. kind of a roll of the dice!

yea kitbashing is super fun and really in the building there are few mistakes you can make. really up to your bits and imagination. i hate alot of my older models now and wouldn't display them, so its either recycle or the trash.
what sort of problem do you have with the Sherman kit?

Well, it is missing treads, a MG, hatches broke and a piece that goes in the back is broken a bit. Have not built it yet.

sounds like a good kit for bashing. you can get replacement treads pretty easily too
