Here is the work so far on my death rig, kitbashed from a 1/32 Revell Snap Tite Freightliner model. Featuring kitbashed, scratch built and resin details. This model has taken me a ton of time/work to get to this point, as the base model was very very crappy. While I knew the model would be bad and prime for a bash I had no clue how bad it really was till I went to build it. Nothing fit at all and most of the parts included with the kit were incredibly warped. It has some of the cheapest and crappiest plastic i have ever seen on a kit. a A lot of time was taken just to build a new frame and even get to look like a truck. This build had me soooo freaking mad and frustrated I had to take a few weeks off from it but this week I finally made the final push. While something’s could be better I am pretty happy with the overall look concerting the pile of trash the base model was.
This monster is being built for so I didn't want to half ass it (if it was for me, it would have already been hammer time) I wanted to make sure he got something I would be happy to have in my own display. I think it was good that I gave myself sometime to re-group and gather up the courage to finally finish the build. I got a few more odds/ends and some fixes to do, but over the weekend I’ll be getting this beast primed and ready for paint. It will be painted in my standard raider colors and hopefully I’ll be done with this rolling nightmare by next weekend.

I started a Revell kit last year, it pissed me off so bad that I haven't touched it since!
And I had to wait 2 months for a replacement part to be sent!

this kit was by far the wost i have even had my hands on, and i have had some junkers! i will not be going anywhere near revell for a long long long time.

hahhaa it was MADNESS! really a big pain in my butt and by far the worst kit i have ever assembled. i got the primer on tonight and already feeling much better about the build. i think the painting at least will be fun and alot less troublesome(fingers crossed)

Nice job getting it all together, I wouldn't have been able to tell how bad the kit was. Should look pretty bad ass with a rugged finish.

yup by a landslide. nothing fit and not poor fits, like the model parts were not designed in a fashion that they even could fit. there is a 0% chance that this kit would go toghter without glue and HEAVY modification. and with the way most parts were warped you would be lucky if that would even happen(frame was so warped, there was a 1cm difference on the wheels) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was madness.
what really buns my bacon is it was being sold as a beginner, no-glue, snap tight at a big retailer and for the cost you can get a really really nice beginner model. this is the kinda of kit that not only disappoints but discourages people new to the hobby.
