Description
This is the drawing I casually worked on while I was in Spain for some lazy beach time.A rant full of spoilers will follow:
In some ways Two Face was the best character so far in Nolan's movies. The Joker became astonishing because of Heath Ledger but as a character, Two Face was excellent and by far the most perfect villain for the style of these movies.
I was always a fan of Two Face and in The Dark Knight I became literally obsessed with him to the point I always defended that he was alive and was gonna be used in the 3rd movie - I guess mostly because I couldn't believe that Nolan being such a great director, would make such a huge mistake as grossly underusing a character so full of potential.
Now imagine how pissed off I was when I came back home from vacations, with my drawing and all, and I read Aaron Eckhart putting an end to it all by saying Two Face is absolutely dead!!!
It was a sad news for me, and my enthusiasm for the next movie dropped, like, to ZERO. They just missed their chance to decently explore the best villain of the Batman universe.
Anyways, my drawing still stands as a tribute to how cool, if shortlived, their portrait of Two Face really was.
P.S.
As you know there's no references for Two Face as no official images have been released so I just used this image of Aaron as reference: [link]
And then took the ideas from the concept art image released months ago.

I think Two Face would have deserved more screen time in the dark knight.

So very true, my friend! It was the only major flaw in the movie, IMO.

This one is absolutely terrific. I love that you can see how much pain he is in, and the detail is gorgeous. The unscarred side also really looks like Aaron Eckhart, too.

Thanks, it was fun picking a regular Aaron photo and turning it into Two Face

Omg, i feel exactly the same way about 2Face. I loved his character so much, pure genius in every way. Nolan did absolutely perfectly in his direction of the character, so its such a friggin shame its not used more! I too was clinging on hope Arron Eckhart would come back as 2Face ( perhaps the funeral was just to deceive the public) But i guess he's done...I try not to judge Nolan to harshly for his decision...after all hes does hell of a lot of thing more right then wrong.
But yeah, really cool dev- love the calmness of Dent's unscarred half. Very, very cool

True, I think 2 Face's death is the only real flaw I can find in the movie, so that says a lot... It's a brilliant work nonetheless. I just hope the 3rd movie manages to prove me wrong because that's the one I'm not expecting much from!
Thanks for your comment.

The next villans in batman 3 (The Dark Knight Rises) are Bane played by tom hardy and catwoman played by Anne Hathaway and i looked it up and it said christopher nolan and aaron eckhart were discussing whether or not to bring back 2 Face

The reason he's not coming back was to show the people how radical joker can be and also at the same time that not all the villains are supervillains; scarecrow isn't that great villain.

No he's not, but 2 Face is a supervillain in the comics... And regarding the Joker, his plan wasn't really to kill Harvey; it was to turn him into a monster as crazy as him, ie, to turn a good guy into a villain. So if the point was to follow Joker's plan 2 Face should have remained as Batman's enemy. Though now it's a little late to discuss this...

we'll i don't think it was joker's plan to make harvey a new villain. it was he's plan to proof a point, that everyone is a monster just like him. like that 'boats with bombs' -trick he pulled. i was also first a bit frustrated about harvey' death, but then i realized that it made the movie even better, because not every villain must be a supervillain. i think it's more realistic this way. and therefore better.

It would probably work a lot better if the Joker returned. But we all know that won't happen. So basically there is no supervillain at all in this series.

i believe they will recast joker with someone able to imitate his performance.

i love this piece. Harvey dent has been my main squeeze since i was little. Just knowing they won't put him in the third makes me a sad fangirl. D:
P.S
I love your crosshatching. >w<

He's definately the best villain in the Batman universe. So yeah that was a major turn off for me too. XP
Anyways, glad you like.

I'm disappointed he's not coming back too, but, at the same time, I can see why Nolan did it. It adds to the tragic nature of his character. All the same, both villains dead, one way or another, I'm interested to see how Nolan's gonna follow up TDK.

I'm interested mainly in seeing how exactly does he plan on topping TDK; since I don't think it's possible.

Just wanted to say this is incredible, but also that Eckhart didn't end it, Nolan did.
Eckhart wanted to return in the third film, but when he confronted Nolan about it, before he could even finish his sentence, Nolan said, "You're dead."

Thanks
I know he wanted to return, he said so a while ago, I just mentioned him again because that's what appeared in the recent news, that Aaron gave an interview and when asked about Two Face he simply said "He's dead". At least that's what I read! Either way it still sucks!

As far as I'm concerned, he's locked up in Arkham, in a top security cell where the public can't find him or know he's alive.

I'm upset Two-Face died as well. He really did have so much potential. Perhaps in the future, under a different director, Two-Face will return.
Great drawing. And a wonderful job of transforming his face without a solid reference.
