Description
This deviation features Oracle, an original character by ~WhisperingSoul . Sorry about the lack of originality in clothing design, but the sad truth is that I suck at designing non-decorative clothing (and ~WhisperingSoul specified that kimonos and Gothic Lolita dresses aren't allowed
) The colour scheme for the girl sucks too, I know. The purple eyes were hard to match (or maybe it's just because I haven't worked with purple in years), so I ripped the red-black scheme from Kamui's school uniform. Sorry, CLAMP Oh, and it's only a suicidal pose if you think suicidally XD

lol, thanks for your comment. The pants do have some shading, it's just really subtle so it might appear to be all black on some monitors. Yes, I got the character from someone else since it's an art trade... "she said its really yours"? :S Anyway, the clouds... I was trying to make them cartoony and fairy-tale-like to make it seem like she's on the borderline between reality and fantasy (hence the title), but I guess that didn't work out as well as I wanted. I appreciate your comment, though

Great colouring, especially on the dove, it looks so magical! ^_^. The girl's forehead looks a bit low though... maybe it's just me...-.-

lol... I hate drawing pants XD I like designing dresses (though they always turn out weird). Before I used to hate designing clothing, then one day something just clicked in me and I was like "hey, I want to do this XD".

The girl's coloration isn't bad, your problem is that there isn't any cohesion - almost the entire picture is white.
Have you tried simply making the bird the same red as her shirt?

Wow, you make a good point. XD I didn't really notice it before, but now I see how unbalanced the colors are. I guess changing the colour of the bird might help. I'm going to do that right after I get off my lazy butt XD Anyway, thanks for the comment!

It looks like she's been running, following that bird. When finally its in reach, she jumps at it but didn't look before her leap. Sure she stopped at the ledge but still she's leaning out to the bird, hoping it'll come back to her. Kind of sad, like all her dreams are floating away just when they were so close. Thats the kind of story I get out of it, pretty lol.

I like the style of this image xD, you're the only one I know..with this type of 'soft shading' technique. I really like the hair, interesting clouds and the lil ribbon in her hair xD. The birdie's cuuute..but I think it's kinda straving considering how small the stomache is. Oooo..I also like the detail on her pants (though I could barely see it) on the leg resting on the balcony (?)~. It's nice~

Really? 'cause I kinda 'borrowed' the technique from Kaze-Hime (and simplified it XD). The hair took a long time. So did the clouds XD the ribbon was pretty fun to do though. The stomach is small? :S It looks kind of fat to me. Oh well, I have next to no experience in drawing birds XD
And tell me you like that balcony XD it took me an hour to painnntttttttt
