That's their color 
As basic toads a never refered by name,
I call them acording to their color,
Here, red toad boy and red toad girl

By the way, I had this idea before of Toad characters that may be of use to you in this project of yours.
They were special Toad wizards that were responsible for putting the question mark blocks that contain costumes in Mario's adventures.
I called them the 'Shroom Shamans'.
I made the Fire Flower Shaman out of this idea on my previous channel: [link] (Excuse the poor drawing).
Just an idea that I'm throwin' out there. XD
