Description
Little portrait I threw together for my latest character for a D&D game - a half-elf named Bastien. Can you guess his class? He's spent his entire life in service to a noble family - quite happily, in fact. Polite, efficient, and extremely loyal, he earned a rather comfortable life for himself and his little sister, using the connections he made and favors he earned to ensure the girl was safe, happy, and even well-educated. Even without parents, they managed to stay together thanks to his efforts. Things changed however when his Lady had him accompany her to a "special little party," a secret gathering of certain members of the city's nobility during the night. He was not the only servant to have been brought along, either.
Bastien's memories of the event itself are hazy, but the strange and somewhat implicating circumstances that followed are what have forced him to flee the city. He regrets having to leave his sister in such a manner, but he hopes he can somehow continue to help support her even if it is from a distance, and even if he must take on an alias. Thus he calls himself "Lucero." It's a big world out there, though, for someone who has always lived in a city. And while he might travel by a different name, he still bears the scarlet cord that was tied around his neck that fateful night.

Thanks! ^___^
Depending on how things go in the game, I'm hoping I'll have more excuses to draw him in the future.Β

You're welcome! And I'll be looking forward to seeing more. Also I am slowly working on your painting. I've never done fire effects with oil paint before and it's a little tough. But slowly getting there!

Oh wow, I was admittedly not expecting Arin to get his own oil painting, but that's great! ^_^ And yes, fire can be a little tricky at times, regardless of medium, I think...

I use oil pastels mixed with oils as my medium and I have been enjoying it so much that I want to stick with it. ;D So of course he will be drawn in oils hehe. And yeees it's SO tough to draw for me.

Thanks! ^_^
I do suspect he will end up being the most polite and lawful member of the party, so the dynamic might get a little interesting. XD We'll see.

Iβve recently made that polite, not necessarily reserved, but calm character; Iβm interested how it pans out as much as you are.
Iβm sure theyβll like him, and trying to resolve that good good backstory character arc I see going on~
