I am on a roll this weekend! I started this picture this morning and just finished inking it. Isn't that awesome?! I'm so proud! I really need to start drawing more...

Anyway!!!

This is Jenna from my Halloween Comic: The Worst Halloween EVER, which can be found in part on ~WhyTheWorldSucks . I know I didn't finish the second chapter, and for those of you who are avid fans (all three of you) I am truly sorry. If I didn't have a job that held all of my energy hostage... I would be bored as hell...

For those of you who don't know about The Worst Halloween EVER, it's about a young girl named Jenna, who in a case of mistaken identity is sacrificed to Satan, and wakes up in Hell and married to the Devil Himself. She is then visited by the Archangels Michael and Gabrielle, and Jesus H. Christ, and told that she must redeem 1000 hell-bound souls in order for her to go to Heaven. Along the way, she befriends a Hellhound puppy, the Grim Reaper and a full cast of Hellions, who all help her to overcome a demon even greater than the Great Demonlord.

... It's actually supposed to be a comedy. My real life friends think its funny... I think its funny...

All of my pictures of Jenna are always so happy and cheerful and whatnot, so when I started drawing this picture, I wanted to break away from the norm. The girl is living in Hell for crying out loud, it can't all be pink and peaceful all the time. So instead of being happy or angry or homocidal, I tried to show a sort of wavering faith kind of feel. I hope it came across.

But more than protraying emotion, I was focusing on developing my inking skills... Since I have none. For those of you that actually take the time to sit there for the hour or so it takes to read my artist's comments, I would really, really appreciate it if you could give a little bit of critique on my inking. And for those you who love inking and do it for a living, any tips or advice or your-doing-it-wrong would be so freaking awesome and I will love you forever.

Also, there's a reason I didn't color it right away, and it's not just because I wanted to show off the wonderful way my brand new scanner crapped on my lines. I actually want to allow you guys out there who fucking love coloring to just go to town on this baby. I want to see what you guys can do.

You never know, I might just hire* you to color the actual comics, since I don't want to anymore.

*does not necessarily mean you will get paid. You might get some free art out of me, but not real money. Because I am just as or more so broke than you are.
