THIS IS BEST FREAKING COLOR JOB I HAVE EVER DONE!!!

HOLY CRAP! I love how this turned out. The color, not the lines. The lines are a little wonky, but the color on the face, and his hair! Oh my god, his hair!!

I purposely didn't color his clothes properly. I haven't really developed his outfit yet, and I didn't really feel like setting anything in stone right away.

What? Who is he? Well, I'm glad you asked. This is Ryu, the main character of my latest project, There's One In Every Family. (Which can be found here: ~enstyledesign-LIT , along with several other stories that I've been working on.)

Ryu is a cute and quirky eighteen-year-old orphan with distinctive features that label him non-human, and thus an outcast to most of the world. He's had to become a thief in order to survive, but in his heart, he wants to do good and do great things. Much like every single other orphaned hero in existance.

TOIEF is a character study project of mine, where I take every single stereotype known to man, create a character out of it and develop that character into a well-rounded, believeable personage, without losing the basic mainframe of which I set. For example, we have the Orphaned Hero, Ryu. He's an Orphan, and he's destined to be a Hero. Just Link, Naruto, Simon, Ginji, Jak, Batman, Luke Skywalker, Aladdin, Goku, ALL FIVE of the Gundam Wing Pilots, Harry Potter, Aang, EVERY SINGLE DC/Marvel Character, Bambi, Jake Gyllenhaal, (insert main character of ANY anime/manga/book/movie/TV Show/etc. here)...

You get my point.

This is a serious project that I hope will strengthen my writing skills. And also if you could spare a few moments, I would love an opinion on my stories. Every little bit helps. And I know that my stuff's not perfect, and it may not be your cup of tea. And if it's not, that's my tea and I want it back, you asshole.

Fun Fact: Ryu means "dragon." Don't think for a moment I'm not going to exploit that till kingdom come.
