Description
Personally I blame the apple. This is probably my most detailed picture to date.
Edit: Finally got a good picture with my decent camera. I's a big picture for fullview, but I wanted to allow it big enough to see the details.
Mech. Pencil: HB, B
A2 (594x420mm)
Many hours.

Thanks!
I love snakes, grew up with a children and carpet python... and all sorts of lizards First time really trying to draw them properly though, and I quite like the one on the left of the picture... sort of looks saintly to me
I just wish I could get a version up that showed all the details better... Just discovered mech pencils, and am practicing with more precise stuff. Wanna practice more and eventually do a exquisite corpse (wink wink, nudge nudge
).

Yeah I'm about to head US way on the weekend anyways... and I want to get a few more detailed pieces under my belt before I look at collaborating with the pros
Oooh I love diamonds. Eventually I'll probably get another children's python, probably as a first pet for my kids (when I have kids)... they're just the best pet for kids to have imo. That said, I had just about every pet under the sun (Cats, dogs, birds, mice, rats, fish, hermit crabs, mexican walking fish, and the aforementioned snakes and lizards)... don't think I'll be doing that again

Hehe I'll try my best to keep that one in mind.
We don't get as many of the corn snakes and balls down here... most people I know who have had snakes have had either children or carpets. Although I think there's more choice nowadays thanks to some Steve Erwin guy

Sure am
You need a license for it.. but it's not hard to get. And just about everyone has had a pet blue tongue at some point in time (normally rescued from the family dog).
And cane toads are seriously gross creatures... their only good qualities are hallucinogenic poison secretions, and apparently their ability to eradicate cane beetles... and every other life form in proximity to them. You mark my words... they're the next evolutionary step, they'll be replacing us at the top of the food chain in nooo time

the funny thing is, although your borders are closed to exportation of animals, we have multitudes. the ones we get on special permit are rare, we just breed stock from the ones that came over in 70's. it's cool too, because you don't have arrogant yanks treading your forests/deserts to fill our pet trade.
we do that in Africa.
I heard that about Cane (Caine?oops) toads. florida has a problem with them too. any dog that a burm won'r eat, a cane toad will

Yeah works for me, especially so that when we eventually eradicate them here (once the cane toads kill em off.. ) they'll be thriving over there
They just discovered the largest cane toad ever here... weighed in at almost a kilogram! What with them and the wild cats that grow to the size of panthers, our wildlife is screwed.
