Greetings!
Β
Β
I have seen many comics like this, and I always get a kick out of them.
Β
"You need to be really careful at Pinkie's parties..."
Β
Is there such a thing as condoms in Equestria?
Β
Also, I think this is the first time I've ever seen a stallion with chest hair. Derpy seems to like it!
Β
Maybe I should resurrect my old human chest hairs...

Your alimony bits are in the bank, where they will remain, because you had to go all 'motherly' and refuse the abortion I so kindly offered to pay for. Instead, you will take that bastard and get out of my sight before I stuff it down your throat you fat ugly old nag.

So Caramel married that mare and divorced her in the same day?
Damn, he works fast.
(Still trying to figure out what exactly an alimony is >w<)

Alimony means that Caramel has to regularly pay his former wife so that she can take care of their baby.

No that is NOT what alimony is.
That is what is logically called CHILD-Support. Alimony is a policy and then law instituted back in the days to give support to the former wife in case the man for example left or either he or she desired a annulment. Though the difference was at least before some changes in law that the former wife had logically to at leastΒ argue her point in why she deserved Alimony so as not as it happened around 1870's where it becomes that women seek annulments or as later it becomes 'Divorce' to scam money through alimony payments, quite a common thing in the 1920's.
Which has little to no sense in a modern industrialised world, especially since in the western would it's based on laws that are still in practice just rewritten a little, that will state such things that the woman should be supported with what she has been accustomed to. Which exactly why women can marry a billionaire and then divorce to become a billionaire even if she could live well of on just a 0.001% of it an still be better of thanthe absolute majority.
It has nothing to do with the children since men have since before two certain ideologically ill willed fuelled came forth with "Tender Years doctrine" making the mother the default parent of the child unless the mother was SEVERELY unfit, of which before the father was. But it didn't change any of the obligations in support to their offspring's where instead the man having the default only so the children would have a higher chance to survive at least, because that was what it was it was to make it so as many survived no matter the cost. It's all very intricate and I could write an essey and not explain more than a small patch of it all.
Believe it or not, but marriage has always been for the benefit of women and especially the child. Because a single mother was mostly doomed to die if they had no way to have support from others of which before was on the individual families and especially the men to see to it.
No intention to berate you or anything like so, just me being pedantic and feeling like being a besserwisser.

Fun Fact: Since approximately 1/5 to 1/6th of the pony populous is male, stallions are almost guaranteed to quote, unquote, "get all da mares."
