Thanks! Truth is I'm slightly color blind so I have issues with the colors of my work. I never know how they'll turn out. I just pick colors I think will look good and away I go!

I think part of it is that he has no super powers and became what he is through tragedy. People seem to relate to that.

Maybe after the culmination of the American dream, ie. having all the money, becoming the Batman is the next logical step?

good point. yet i think the main part seems to be the "fight against evil" (whatever "evil" is meant to be), which is strong in north american minds it seems -> world police, hollywood sight of good and bad. also the seriosness and appearance of the character.
someone really should do a scientific research about this. to me, it says much about the people in a country, where a specific character is most liked.

I like the plots (especially the recent films by the Nolan brothers) and I also like the way he's not actually a superhero - just a clever billionaire with a sense of justice and (let's face it xD) too much time on his hands. I dunno, I guess it's just one of those things which most people like.
