Yeah, they were there when Darth Vader and the Emperor Palpetine started going at it, and they just hopped on the elevator to get out of there and didn't try to save their emperor. I was under the impression they were supposed to protect the Emperor, but they decided they were no match for the Force and a couple lightsabers, so we know they are smart, hahaha
