Description
A frozen icesheet over a flowing river in Fjadrargljufur canyon, Iceland. Wearing thermal fishing waders supplied little protection againt the bitter cold of the river. I'd long lost sensation in both my feet, but I was mesmerized by this unique scenery. The tall spires on both sides of the canyon, the icy environment so unfamiliar to an Israeli, the cristal clear river, all made this visit very special.Fjadrargljufur will be one of many amazing location we'll visit on my upcoming 'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop, next January. If you want to experience and shoot these incredible landscapes, please check out the workshop page .

THAT is a composition. This photo should be an exemplary sample of how to crop a shot in photography schools. Not only that, but it's vertical, which I think is much harder to get right than are horizontals.

Great job. Just how strong a filter did you have to use for this long exposure?

Those 'drag lines' in the water, close to the ice are seriously jaw dropping. Great colors, love your dedication!

Wow, that is a very awesome picture! I had to take a few glances to understand what I was looking it because the angle of this is so unique. I love it! Its like there are rocks floating in the air because of the blues being so close to the same as the sky. AWESOME!
