Grathem (Limburg, near Roermond), Netherlands. A deconstructivist landscape study.

I was going to post a Holga shot of an abandoned factory today, but as it's almost `kkart 's birthday - and although I don't have Rocky Mountains, arctic snows or apocalyptic sunsets in the vicinity - I'll try to cater shamelessly for the #Photography-APN taste.

My first dA shot ever done with a tripod... f/18 Tripods are fun, especially if you only have to walk a few hundred yards with them and the ground isn't soaking wet with that day's rain. It may look as if this was a splendid day, but around this time there were only a few minutes of this light. So, you actually can have something like a decisive moment in landscape photography.

Postwork: converted to RAW in Digital Photographer Professional, Curves and a whiff of Brightness/Contrast in Photoshop CS3, all done in 16bits up to the point of saving as a JPG.
