America's contribution to the relief efforts are coordinated by the United States Agency for International Development and its Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) has been diverted from the scheduled Continuing Promise 2008 humanitarian assistance deployment in the western Caribbean to conduct hurricane relief operations in Haiti. no, I would be afraid to.. Those poor people were in terrible condition after Hurricane Ike struck I can't imagine it much worst than when I lost saw it.
