View the second version or the mini version !My first Cosmic Heart Compact!
I really like how this came out. I had a little mishap while glossing it though... I have this acrylic spray gloss, yes? So I sprayed the compact in a box. My mother recommended I put wax paper on the bottom so I can reuse the box more. Worst. Idea. Ever.
The excess gloss began to run on the wax paper while I was spraying the front, causing it to get all over the back of the compact... long story short, I ended up having a heck of a lot of wax paper stuck to the back of the brooch. *sigh*
But I fixed it! Luckily, nobody looks at the back anyway. *chuckle*
I heard using colored clay (rather than white clay and then painting it) will make it look better. I may try this, but I only buy clay when I have coupons.
I'll be making another one, but I must tackle making the rest of the lockets/compacts/WHATEVER (I still never know what to call them) before I perfect them.

I wish it was! Once I figure out how the hinges work, I'm probably going to attempt a real compact mirror. I would carry it around every day. EVERY. DAY.
