Why, thank you!
The pelt's texture was painted in, to show that it was indeed fur instead of just a blanket.
Then, I flattened the image and threw this texture over the whole thing on a new layer. I desaturated the texture layer (Made it all monotone because I didn't want him to be purple xD) and set the texture layer to overlay ^_^

Fffft thank you! Got to admit, this is easily one of my favorite fawnling pieces so far!
At the momen't I don't have a comm journal up - just because every time I go to make one, I can never decide on prices xD Either I'm going "Geez Spool, you can't ask for that much!" or "Hmmn... am I undermining myself, or is it just me?"Β
I can try to get a tentative one up in the next few days though ^^'

I'm still playing with styles, but I actually really like this one, I think xD Maybe one day I'll pick one and stay with it LOL

I love all of your styles, but yes, this one is quickly becoming a fav - it's just so stunning.Β β₯Β But definitely don't feel like you have to stick to one style, sometimes a little variety is nice and keeps the inspiration going (not to mention your watchers love seeing it all).
And yeppers, I lurves Mony too!Β Seesters for-evah!Β She's in AZ and I'm in WA, so we only get together a few times a year, but we talk almost daily - and she's such an encouragement and inspiration for me to keep going at art!Β
We've actually got a 3rd sister on here (dA) too... EspressoOnTheRocks.Β It's so much fun having this as a "side hobby" to be able to do together, when RL isn't demanding our attention.Β

Thanks <3 I like trying new things, like seeing how they turn out and whether they work or not - but at the same time I'd like for all of my art to have something in common. Something unique to me, that makes it obvious that my pieces are mine, I guess? If that makes any sense? A technique to fall back on I guess lol.
Hehe, she told me about Espresso as well. You guys are far away indeed - but I can definitely see where it would be nice to have one another either way. I only have two younger brothers, not interested in art at all XD Boys -huffs-Β
