You rendered this in Bryce 3? I love the mother-of-pearl appearance of the terrain as seen through the water. Caustics. Yeah, that's the word.

yep, rendered in bryce3d. twice, actually, with different lighting setups. then i took both images into photoshop, mashed them together, messed around, and this is the end product. the initial renders from bryce has rather flat colors.

Aah, I thought you'd said version 3 of Bryce, and I was quite surprised that someone could eke a render like that out of it. (Blood, turnips, etc.)

Very cool stuff. Yeah Bryce can delivers some real stinkers sometimes and I hate to waste even test renders that take hours & hours to render. Which means I have a lot of crap and clutter. :/ I thought of giving them away as free backgrounds, but hey... maybe I'll fiddle with 'em.
