So, if you guys have not checked out Xamag 's Black Brick Road comic, I suggest looking into it. The art is pretty slick. I'm really enjoying the distinctive character designs, the environments, the color schemes, and the slightly twisted humor mixed in. We've not met all of Dorothy's party yet, but I'm pretty much in love with Straw Shawn (and what we've seen of his old regiment of fellow scarecrows).

Quickie update on me for those interested:

Busy, busy. So much has happened, so much I'm still looking forward to. I'm back on my rotations now, and have left most of my sketchbooks safe and sound back home. I do still have a lot of stuff not scanned in from those (like some Outer Sailor Senshi pics from last year, etc.). Hopefully, when I get back I'll be able to scan those in between my final rotation and preparing for my license exam. (YEP! Just a little bit longer and you can all call me doctor!) For a couple of months you'll probably see photos of sketches instead of polished scans, and almost nothing in color since the markers and colored pencils are also back home. I did bring my graphite pencils, though, for whenever I have downtime. Currently, I'm painfully working on a sketch of Thranduil. Lemme tell ya, dwarf beards have spoiled me. You don't have to worry about half the face, unlike with these beardless elves... I also have this little sketchbook from my bday that I've been rapidly filling up with rough pencil/brush pen sketches like Straw Shawn up there. I have to admit, I may be liking the brush pen too much. It's a lot of fun.
