I love Balin. He's probably my second favorite in the company after Bofur. Decided to draw this one in pencil. I might be getting better.

Sorry for the photo. The new sketchbook I'm using isn't bound in a way conducive to scanning. But, hey, it fits in my bag, and that's what counts. Lol

Smaug. Love the voice, of course. But why does Hollywood insist upon throwing wyverns at us instead of dragons? You don't say you have a crocodile when what you really have is a gharial. So disappointed in the design. Animation was still amazing.
