As Sonic gives "Ghost in the Machine" its new meaning, I can't help but notice he slipped suddenly into Berserker Mode while doing it.
Is he having a flashback (of sorts) from when he was still In-Body, and would destroy these guys on a daily basis to thwart Robotnik? Or has he and Shadow been doing this sort of "badnik busting" periodically over the past 200 years?
Then again, now that I think of it, Eggman and Sonic died on the same night - so badniks probably went out of production real fast there in the GOTF-verse.
Also, thank you for using the term "badnik" - it's an oldie-but-a-goodie as far as I'm concerned, and it's almost refreshing to hear Sonic use it again!

The whole egg grape thing happened to a different universe's Sonic, GOTF Sonic never dealt with that stuff.
His tendency to fly into a berserker rage when he sees something that reminds him of past traumas seems to be getting worse, though...
