Description
Original Watercolor painting of the traditional theater masks representing comedy and tragedy. Painted with watercolor pencils, paints on cold press watercolor paper using salt to make background design. Original painting was given as a gift to a friend but prints are available.Hope you all like!

This is lovely! I never thought of using salt - I really like the varied effects here and the way that you have playfully explored the medium. Your friend was very lucky to have such a gorgeous gift!

Thanks ever so much for your kind words!! I have found that salt adds some unexpected and beautiful results to my works when I use it. Just remember if you decide to experiment with it to use the larger sea or kosher salt grains because I've found that table salt doesn't do much and also to wait until the paint is completely dry before you brush it off.
