[RENDEZ-VOUS? WITH THE MAD MATRYOSHKA]Sorry I've been only posting fan arts lately; it's a nice break away from the stressful contest entries. Fan arts for me is close to operating a fax machine compared to programming your own OS on a customized computer, that is original art. This was more of a doodle than anything else and I haven't done flat coloring piece since Bloody Sunflower.
Anyway this song has been playing in the BG for, in all seriousness, HOURS (iTunes count is 50 but i listened to it countless times on niconico already so I'd say WAY more). It's been a while since I found a vocaloid song I like this much but really; the lyrics, tempo, claps, catchiness... everything is there in one big awesome! It's been a WHILE since I first started listening to this and, to this day, I STILL do. There's plenty of dubs and arrangements (the one piano version is just stunningly beautiful) floating around online.

I love the use of varied line thickness. Miku's expression is just too cool, and I really like the duality shown on Gumi's face with the black and white. Everything is just so fun and dynamic! Great job <:

I like how the numbers on the clock sitting on GUMI's head are mixed up, and the matryoshkas were a nice touch, they blend on with the buildings! I also noticed that the streetlights and skyscrapers are melting. Overall a great picture, you really did pay attention to detail.

Well you are THE only person EVER to say anything about the minor details! Someone actually paid attention!! Oh man you totally made my day. I actually liked the details than the characters themselves so you made me VERY happy.
Most of the motifs I used are from the song itself. "The warmth of the world is melting away" part is the whole melting theme, "Time may pass, but the hands are at 4" part is supposed to be the whole messed up time thing, and the missing pieces of the clock are in the pic too. There's more, but I'll probably be "ranting" more than explaining. LOL.
