my brother played around with the game graphics so now the headcrabs are yellow with smileyfaces and the headcrab zombies have rainbows on their shirts. It is garish and creepy and hilarious

Indeed they do! They're actually screaming "Oh God help me it hurts" (or something along those lines) but backwards! Even though I've played Resident Evil and Silent Hill and other such freaky games, the Ravenholm level in Half-Life 2 still manages to scare the hell out of me every time I play it.

Man, that part was pretty terrifying. A lot of Halflife 2 wasn't as scary as the first game, but Ravenholm really made up for that. I thought that preacher guy was going to flip out and kill me the whole time.
