Description
Skylar taking a bath. This was a surprise to me because I only see Candy take baths. Maybe Sky saw Candy taking 1 and thought it would be fun to try it.Related content

May Flock Together Feature - Bathtime Special!
GET WET!
Bathing is an important part of our birds' general grooming process. It allows birds to keep their plumage in good condition, by softening dirt on the feathers and skin and encouraging preening. Baths also help keep the dander down in the environment. One has to remember that in the confinement of our homes, pollutants will collect in much greater density than in the wild. Especially in small, poorly ventilated spaces pollutants - such as dander, dried droppings and skin/feather mites - can be a major issue.
Bathing is especially important during molting, when birds sometimes feel itchy and uncomfortable as the new pin feathers break through the skin. Keeping their skin and feathers clean & hydrated is helpful to them and their plumage. Bathing is also important for breeding birds, as it helps them regulate the humidity level in the nesting box, which is important

I need to get my 'tiel a bigger water dish so he can do this. Whenever he sees my conure taking a dip in his big water dish, he tries getting into his own but it's too small and he barely gets his tummy wet. xD

So cute! My tiels prefer me to give them a bath! They are too lazy to take a bath themselves

You should try giving him a bigger bowl to bath (this one is for drinking water, right?) You'll be more surprised to see him splashing in a bigger pool XD

Are your tiels and bugies in pairs? If yes, do you breed them?
