Well, if a name has to fit you, 'Dark Shaquille' isn't exactly a great fit either
It's the beauty of the 'nickname': it can be anything! Ranging from complete garbage to pure golden. Some use the nickname a friend gave them, others look for interests of the heart. Some go by the reason they start DA, others just for fun XD

Someday i start a Project which makes the whole Exa Spirit Name more clear, when i find the time and the spirit to do that... I have the Story i just need the Character ^^ and as long as a name isnt something which looks like the data code of a PC/ simpy a long Line of Numbers, its ok wit me ^^
And you got a Point with the better save than sorry, though in todays times a Shitstorm can brek out sadly either way, excused or not XD One can see that way too often

It's also not something to be taken lightly, as a name is what makes you...YOU. We see this a lot in the Clones of the Star Wars franchise where each and every cloe finds a name for himself to 'stand out' among the crowd of equal faces. Well, sure, we're not all clones in an army of One Face, but that doesn't take away that a name is something that marks you as either unique or is used to differentiate you among others. Unless of course you live in the Netherlands...(where due to stupidity, there's a lot of dumb names because of Napoleon)
Well, sure, I mean, there's a LOT of toxic people out there and then there's that damned place of the 'eternally harmed human'...
No matter what you do, there will always be someone harmed by what you say. Because everyone can read it on the internet. ANd somewhere someone will take what you say as offensive. Which is pretty damn sadΒ

Ok i must say i dont know anything about the Name Situaton in the Netherlands, even though its my direct and closest Neighbour Country i have never heard before about something being off with the names there so a explanation would be helpfull xD
The Internet is also full of People that only live in the internet, dont know anything about real life, havent tasted fresh air in years and even sadder people (Trolls and there kind are left out for obvious reasons) 99% of the things they do here wouldnt they do in RL EVER thats because they feel safe here and have in many cases no connections to RL. Fun Fact though, not long ao i heard a Story about a Lets Playerin on youube that got harasment Comments, she searched the Names of these on Facebook and found them, telling there Parents with Pictures what there kids done XD

Alright, so when Napoleon invaded the Netherlands, he started to make everyone take on 'last names'. Because else everyone was called like Peter the Fast and stuff. So, those Netherland people thought 'damn you, we'll f**k it up', so they decided 'funny' last names. People called Sam took the lastname 'Which' (as in the snack) or a girl named 'Doremi' who took the name Fasol (as in the music keys)...other of those funny tricks. Sadly for them, the system never changed after Napoleon was defeated.
Agreed, there's a lot of people out there that hadn't been out of the Internet. And yes, there's a lot of characters out there that abuse the anonimity it provides. And agreed, in real life you don't run around critisising people because that would leave you in a bad postition. I mean, you don't just walk in on someone going 'ah, you suck!' I mean, that's just rude. But, that's both fun as it is scary to hear. I mean, it's cool she got payback...but it's scary you can backtrack someone like that

Well, seeing that from the positive side, if the People dont choose fitting firstnames for the now already decided last names it shouldn't be that bad anymore right ? 
The Backtracking thing is there own fault in this case, if they name themselve everywhere under the same name and (probably even the same passwords) than they deserve it not only for being douches but also dumb. I have no mercy with People like that. It is worse with sides like Facebook where People sell all there Data, no where they give away it while other make the big profit with the things you write, for companys a win win system where they pay nothing but gain everything.

Respect was lost when TV started for the first time to get dirty with nudity and swearwords. Nipplegate was like one of the earliest examples, if the same happened today People would simply take their i phones out and make a picture with a more or less un-amused Face, thats how the World changed theese last 10-15 Years. There is nothing that is too wrong or too right, People take everything without asking if something goes too far, with such a mindset no respect exists anymore just like 0 Tolerance limits
