Akyuu is the only established character that we could see die due to her short lifespan if Touhou Project lasts long enough. Of course, Touhou is not really known for characters dying. It makes me wonder what her next reincarnation would look like, as well as her name. We should get one of those Doctor Who charts, but instead of The Doctor it's the Children of Miare. If she have to spend a hundred years doing Yama work then we would not see her next incarnation. Probably. Maybe ZUN is immortal.

Gave her long hair because 10 had longer hair than 9, and gave her light blue hair because light blue is not very purple. Didn't have to change her clothes because clothes don't regenerate, and pretend that her hair-clip burns up or something. The last few regenerations are all arms up so I forgot this one was supposed to be arms down, but too late to change that. Haven't watched series 10 yet and people are already spoiling everything. Seriously, do all the news website had nothing better to do? What ever happens to the element of surprise? Anyways, I'm still pretending that I know nothing so don't spoil anything.

Also, really it shouldn't be called regeneration. You change all of your cells, not heal them. True regeneration and you won't change your face. Should really be called renewal or something. In Akyuu's case reincarnation works because she remembers past lives. There is reason to use the word rebirth instead of reincarnation for Buddhism because you don't retain your memories, the only original part is your soul. But I guess reincarnation is cooler than rebirth, so eastern religions rebirth it is. What even is the point of punishment or reward if you don't remember them? How are you supposed to learn your lesson?
