I like it Mind you, I could suggest a couple things as an artist but I'll get to those later. For what I like, I'd say the recreation is nice. I can see you tried your best and it shows. I really appreciate it in that sense. 

As for some things I could suggest; you're drawing an image you want to be able to present. Perhaps it would help the overall quality if you dedicated a full page to it rather than having doodles show up everywhere else as well. Another thing on a similar note could be to not use full sharpie when dealing with linearting. I know regular pen is quite rude to paper, but the quicker you get used to it the better  

It's a very simple adaptation with a very simple twist on the image and idea of the request. I appreciate the effort, but I look forward to your future endeavors in this line of work.
