Description
The silver pegasus squinted, staring past the cloud cover as a speck of black appeared against the bright blue sky. The basket of the hot air balloon was dwarfed in comparison to the huge dark balloon itself and the contraption grew nearer and nearer. Silver laughed quietly to himself as he saw its contents.

Just as he had expected, his brother and sister. But, what was this? A darkly colored brown pony was standing next to them, eyes light and nearly absent of color. At first glance, it appeared as if he was an earth pony, but the wind shifted and blew his hair out of his face, revealing a fractured horn under the mane.

Silver Surge was laughing out loud when they stopped by the edge of Cloudsdale and Sparkplug (the only one able to walk on clouds) hopped out.

"What's this?" He chuckled to himself. "Aw, 'lil Sparky can't even fly herself to Cloudsdale? What kind of pegasus are you, letting two unicorns help you get to your own hometown? Wait, scratch that, a unicorn and an earth pony." He laughed and Chestnut's ears perked up, eyes narrowing but not focusing on anything. "This'll be harder than I thought..." Spoke the silver pegasus, walking around his sister in circles. "I'll have to teach you how to live with pegasi again, how to fly..."

He suddenly perked up. "I know just how to do that, too!" Without another word, he dashed to the hot air balloon swiftly and silently. He spun around so his back was to it, shifted his weight to his front legs, and bucked the basket over.

Shocknote saw it coming and held on, but Chestnut, being unable to see anything, was not quite as lucky. The unicorn went tumbling over the side and began to fall.

"CHESTNUT!" Yelled Sparkplug, and her brother only laughed.

"See? You don't need him, you'll be just fine with me-" Silver's sentence was cut off when Sparkplug dashed to the edge of the cloud and jumped.

Her wings snapped open and she banked out of pure fear, but then she remembered what she was doing. Taking a deep breath and holding it, she closed her eyes and closed her wings.

She felt herself falling headfirst and pointed one hoof down to make herself more aerodynamic. She picked up speed until she could hear Chestnut's frantic screams just a few feet below her. Unfortunately, the ground was gaining on them fast and she had to move faster if she wanted to catch him in time...

She dipped her head and passed him, instantly whipping her wings out. The unicorn landed on top of her with a 'thud' and the air nearly took her wings off as they looped upwards back towards the clouds.

She turned slightly and the two ponies landed in a heap on top of the hot air balloon, Chestnut unharmed. Sparkplug was extremely fatigued and her right wing hurt like crazy, but there wasn't any lasting damage- or at least she hoped.

Silver laughed. "See what I mean? A while with me and you'll be the best flier in-" Sparkplug suddenly forgot her sleepiness and pain and hopped down onto the clouds below her. Marching right up to Silver, she spun on her hooves and bucked him hard in the chin with her right leg, hearing a satisfying 'crack.'
