oh god, where do i start here... how about the beginning!
so this all started during a practice business exam (in class and given a few exam questions) when, as a joke i drew a simple picture of a face with the words 'APPLES!!!' above it in a speech bubble on my friends next to me's work. after she saw the face she proceeded to burst out in silent laughter for a few minutes while trying not to get into trouble for talking. then rather annoyingly she would keep bringing it up and not letting it go, but hey what you gunna do?
a few days later during a chemistry lesson we were passing notes, or rather drawings on the same piece of paper when the inspiration for THIS all began.... it was a picture of a apple, mourning the loss of a apple slice, or at least thats what it was according to my friend. sooo in retaliation i drew a picture of a grape, gloating, called Marvin. more banter and then next thing i know on a new piece of paper she had drawn an apple, wearing the classic batman mask calling itself 'applbat. so what did i do? i drew a tomato saying "riddle me this applbat" along with part of a simple poem [only thing i could think of] "roses are red/ violets are?" [amazing i know]
what happened next i hear you ask? she draw the same masked apple in a confused look saying something like "no, i cant do it" or something. i drew another apple. it was a small one. it had a small mask. and a small cape. it said "you can do it applbat" it was thus named applin. i'm not even sorry.
we then toyed with the idea of it becomming a series. i drew all you see above as a joke. now for explanations;
Protagonists
  Applbat: our main hero and protagonist fighting fruity crime where-ever he sees. the masked crucider of the night. drawn first and main inspiration
  Applin: Applbat ever faithful sidekick who helps Applbat with his crime fighting. drawn third
  Alfred the Banutler: Abblbat's butler who looks over his manor and bat cave. drawn fifth. technically not a fruit but i though the banana matched the theme, also internets
  Strawberry Kyle the cat berry: also the only one with a actual name. a catburgler (i dont know much about catwoman). drawn last
Antagonists
  The Graper: Applbats arch nemesis and frequent terroriser of the [as yet unnamed version of fruity Gotham] . he's a grape because of Marvin, and NO I'm not changing him. drawn second
  The Tomatiddler: loves his mind games and another toying with the applbat. technically not a fruit... or a veg but tomato-y riddling means that he's here. drawing fourth
  the pearguin: i actually don't know much about the penguin other than he usually get henchmen to do his work and has a kick ass umbrella. drawn sixth
  poison I-fig: oh god this name doesn't work but let's roll with it anyway. can manipulate vegetation but not fruit due to obvious problems. drawn seventh

all of this couldn't have been done without that goddamn face, my friend who still has the notes and also said that she plans to upload it in scraps when she get a D.A. account and one of my oldest friends who helped with the digital drawing of the extra details. still not sorry. might plan on adding more additions but for now... yea.
