Holy...this is so amazing. The detail is so intricate and hypnotizing, I just can't look away from it all. This is probably my favorite of your works thus far. The depth captured in this picture is mind blowing Super awesomeness dude!

Nothing I say can amount to how much I appreciate that.
I like Edward S. Curtis' works so much, I had to show some love for them.

No prob man! I'm really amazed how you can create so many tones with just white and red on black. It boggles my mind.
I wasn't familiar with the photographer, i just got home from work and had a chance to look him up.
I've always had a calloused heart when it comes to photography, but i have to say this man's work has such a beautiful style. I think you've found a excellent goldmine of reference pictures here.

We are only limited by our minds.
What do you mean by "calloused heart?"

By "calloused heart" i mean indifference. I judge photography quite harshly. There's such a fine line between photography as an art-form and vacation photos that in my opinion, i see it as a lesser art.
However, I'm not so daft that i can't see art in a photograph. Photographs are capable of being some of the most moving images. It just seems to me that 8 out of 10 photographs are simply "point, shoot, it's pretty" and suddenly they are an artist.
Where is the line between simply capturing a moment in time for documentation and art drawn? If Ansel Adams and my grandma come to my birthday party and take pictures, are Ansel Adams' photos art and my grandmother's not? Are they both art because they express the feeling of the moment? Are they both not because they simply document the occasion? I don't know the answer to that. The whole area's grey because so much of the art is the reproduction of an image by a machine.
Anyways, that's why i have a weird indifference to photography. Regardless of that, i appreciated those photographs very much

I absolutly agree. I see that photography is only art if the photographer actually put in the work to capture that image. Thats how I see it. If a person puts in the work in somthing, then I consider that art.
Work+Time=Art
