Looks cool dude!! i think you could push the contrast on the side not facing the dwindling sun and put some more shadow on the cliffs. my two cents. Like the building designs too.

very true, I should have. Might give it another shot a bit later. Buildings were just a gun model I made in zbrush, then just squashed/stretched etc.

Um...well, I was thinking it's basically far in the future, the sun has started to die. In response the human race has developed inter-galaxy space travel, however it's incredibly taxing on the human body. So, to prepare for this they created a vaccine type thing to mutate the body and facilitate it for the pressure. However a radical protest group managed to get a hold of it from a traitor on the inside. They released this untested build of the vaccine into the population, which then spread to land animals, sea life and even some plantlife.
The vaccine caused the bodies it affected to mutate, break down and even rot. What was left...biological ooze laying about everywhere slowly began to grow again in new and unpredictable ways. Only a handful of humans survive...along with all the insects.
Hhaha well at least that's the story I came up with whilst painting.
