Very nice, again. I do like the bold lines and contrasting tones in this one, and the poniness (AJ looks like she's ready for a roll in the hay [I mean that literally, of course; we're all good and wholesome here!]).

soft, messy, brittle, takes longer to build tone but is less permanent than compressed charcoal.
Some people like smudging charcoal, some people don't. I see where both are coming from, but smudging is beautiful if you're expressive (like me) or a photorealism type (I don't have the patience or skill). Smudging for the sake of smudging can make a drawing look worse, so its all about technique and knowing when to take it easy on the smudging.
