I felt that that it was about time I tackled another Discworld character so here I present a couple of choice sketches of His Grace Commander Sir Samuel Vimes.Oh, how I love the Watch books!

Thanks! I love Vimes and I am THIS close to getting my mother to read Guards Guards!
She is curious after seeing these drawings...

haha. converting family members to the books is always fun. I got my mum into reading them, but we both agree that the guard's series are the best of his books

Hmm... let's see. I recognise "Feet of Clay" (definitely a Vimes-chin), "Nightwatch" (which I have never read in English... gah), "The Fifth Elephant" (surprise... but the scene was awesome) and the two Sams from "Thud", I guess.
Obsessed? Me? NEVA!
You did a really good job on Vimes. I like your character sketches

Yep, you got them all right! Yay!
Thanks for the comments and, oh, there is nothing wrong with being obsessed with Vimes. Nothing, you hear?!

Ohmigoodness, Bad Werewolf Squishing right next to Baby Sam Head Rubbing. If it weren't for that whole major biological hurdle thing, I would totally volunteer to have your babies for that alone.
As it is, I'll just go die of The Squee now.
Although I did have a funny moment before clicking on the full view and noticing the ice shards and the That's It, No More Mister Nice Duke expression where I thought, "Wait just a doggone minute... why is Vimes randomly hugging Angua?" Further proof it's been a long day and I should go home.

Indeed, if that WAS Angua it would give a whole new meaning in enforcing discipline in the Watch!
Glad you liked it!

Discipline? When I read that, I immediately pictured Vimes engaging in "corporal cuddling" a la the Engineer's Guide to Cats.

I'm not sure I'd want to see that. That might be about forty-nine kinds of wrong. Especially if Nobby were involved.

It's funny because I was just reading the Fifth Elephant aloud, and then I came on here for a break and there's your pictures of Vimes! I keep meaning to draw him...
I think I like the skeptical looks at the top left best, but the two middle from Night Watch are good too!
