UPDATED FOR 2016: A recent request for drawing tips lead me to create this.Here I cover the basics on what I do to create heads and the faces upon them.

I like the way you draw people, so it's nice to see a guide to it... but you doe some different face shapes too...

Yeah....but the principle is still the same... Draw a circle then add the bottom of the face to it. It's up to you what shape that jaw should be. It doesn't have to be the same as the face shown above.
