Description
Several Trolls from Homestuck! [link] They are from different commission orders, and I worked on them at the same time in order to preserve my sanity. From left to right is Ghost Aradia, Karkat, Gamzee, Aradiabot, pre-god tier Vriska, and post god-tier Vriska. They are made of mostly fleece, with other materials being minky, felt, "elk", seed beads, muslin, acrylic paint, craft foam, pvc plastic, broadcloth, suedecloth, denim, craft fur, wire, and crushed panne.

The Aradias turned out super nice, I think. The symmetry of their hair made for a more harmonized head shape. Aradiabot was especially nice, with seed bead screws and eyes that have dry-felted color detail. Both of them, and the Vriskas, have hand-embroidered eyelashes. Vriskas' glasses were kind of a straight forward combination of plastic, foam, wire and glue, but I'm not entirely satisfied with it. I don't like using glue. I don't trust it. Their coats are removable. All the trolls' clothes are technically removable (except Aradiabot) but I wouldn't recommend removing most of them. That would require a lot of squishing of the head/feet. Most of the trolls' hair is made out of minky, except Aradiabot's, who's hair is crushed panne, and Gamzee who has craft fur for hair. Gamzee has a very different design and materials than the rest of the trolls. Instead of fleece, I used suedecloth, which is stiffer and less fuzzy. But it allowed me to paint his face, use doll eyes (which suits him particularly well), and make his legs jointed. So, he's the only one that can sit easily. I remember when Gamzee was first introduced, I was thinking "I hope no one ever commissions me to make him!" Because his hair and his facepaint would be a nightmare. No way was I gonna meticulously draft out his hair the way I did for the other trolls! His slippers are made of jersey and foam. All the trolls have horns made out of muslin and painted with acrylic. Except Aradiabot, who's horns were painted with sliver powder mixed with acrylic medium. I shoulda just bought a sliver fabric paint.
