: I'm still debating on the background though, I want it to be something simple not to take away from him but nothing seems to be working >.< I tried doing a dark forest but it just made it look to busy and I don't wanna just put a few cheezy stars floating in the background either, then I though of putting in a moon but that would take away from the glow of the gem, and I don't want the moon to overdominate the gem @_@ and I think that maybe I'm thinking about it to much and that's why it's not working > .<aaaaaaaaaaannyyywaas FEEDBACK??? FEEDBACK??? FEEDBACK??? I looooooove feedback
hint hint oooh and maybe some background ideas? Tisha(nuri_knight) says she likes it the way it is but I still wanna do something more for a background than just smoke, so any ideas/brainstorms would be greatly preeeciiiaaated

I think the background should stay simple like it is, and the blue color is awesome. It brings out Duo, who should have the focus in this picture. Don't change it ^_^ The smoke is really well rendered too.

really nice! i love the lighting work. and of course, Duo. Duo makes aaaaaaany picture look good
as for background ideas, i suggest... maybe some torches? maybe light columns emerging from the smoke... or stone columns, being blasted away by his power! (the position of the lighting would make it look cool) i dunno... you should add something, a better background is the only thing this pic needs.

It's strange but at the same time quite cool. The way the light source is, it really draws mean into the picture.
Although for a background, you might want to go for something dark but soft to work with the foreground (think indoors of a temple, castle, et cetera). Or you could go with a feeling that the things around the character are being blasted away. (This is were you would go for a specific piece of scenery to replicate the item(s) being thrown). You wanted suggestions as you stated, and I thought that might kick start your imagination.
