Description
I like the pencil sketch version of this so I decided to post it to scraps.'s sweet "Art Nouveau" pencils inspired this. Though I'll be coloring and shading it digitally, I wanted some natural texture on the piece. Thought pencil strokes was a good way to add that.
Looking forward to finishing this!

One of the reasons I enjoy doing artwork for creative people the most is because they provide me with a strong foundation for their characters. From there, I can explore other aspects of their personalities rather than inventing everything from scratch. Rip's style is rich and provides a lot of inspiration for me so that this piece can act as homage to her artistic sensibilities and not just illustration of quaint descriptions.

Cha, I know what you mean. Plus, with a good character personality, and all over foundation (and in Rip's case, style too ), it not only makes the characters seem more alive in the picture, but also gives room for depth emotionally and whatever deep gooshy feeling stuff you can pack into a piece of art. So it's not like you're redrawing just another wolf; I see why this one is fun for yah'.

Like I said before, I'm ecstatic about the preview and dying to see the finished product! All the leaves are already dropping in Maine, so this is just all the more appropriate.
