This is a lovely picture. But It feels like its missing something. The waterfall in the background is a fantastic visual, and the mill contracts it very well. But I think my eyes feel focus on the mill, or the waterfall. As all the boards on the mill either point towards the waterfall or towards the right. I'm not sure what could be done to improve the photo. Perhaps cropping the image to focus more heavily on the mill, and the waterfall alone might do the trick. Another suggestion could be getting a different angle. Regardless of the possible improvements to the photo this looks like a lovely location to get a lot of really cool shots. May I take a shot and try to edit the photo and create my own version? Id crop it and possible tilt the image and perhaps change the color slightly.

This is really great work. You do a good job of bringing out the character in places like these.

That likely has the lowest power-to weight ratio of any machine I've ever seen that was seriously used to do work.

What? Just because something is pathetic doesn't mean it can't be important or interesting.Β
(I estimate that it is currently producing 10 W out of a total estimated mass of 400 kg, for a PWR of ~0.025 W/kg. This is 6,120,000 times less than theΒ highest PWR of any machine I know of that was used to do workβthe SSME turbopump. If non-brake engines are included, then it'sΒ 118,600,000 times less powerful for its weight than the Merlin 1D+++ engine.)

What a great looking old mill. Nice colors on the old wood, the green all around, and just the right amount of softness on the falling water.

Always amazes me how many of these old structures survive if you know where to look. Was this im a park?

It's its own 'park' of sorts.Β Secluded and pretty out of the way but people go there during the tourism season in that area.
