Description
Insignificant Boundaries - 18.5" x 27.5" - Watercolour - Feb 2012FINISHED - FINALLY!! (I THINK!!)
This one took a little longer than I normally spend on one painting, but it is also a lot larger than I'm used to. In fact, this is the largest watercolour I've done to date - and certainly not the last!! I LOVE painting BIG!!
Without giving away why I would entitle the painting "Insignificant Boundaries", I'd love to hear what you think, when you combine the title with the painting.
Anyway, time to get cracking on something new!!!
Thanks for looking

You captured the blurring of the fence in a way I didn't think possible.

Well my take on the title is that no matter what boundaries you put around yourself it is impossible to hide the truth, who you are. This is an amazing painting. The way that you did the shadows on her face are ridiculously good. It looks so real.

you have a crazy amount of skill! it is well deserved of a DD! I love how you did the blurred wires in the background, and the face texture is brilliantly done. One thing I was wondering though, would the hair at the back look so..."desaturated", I know it's a difference in lighting but I would think it wouldn't lose the colour so drastically? Anyways, fantastic piece!

her left eye is a bit less detailed, and also seems to be cross-eyed. is there a story behind it (like a false eye, perhaps?) or was this just a mistake when creating the piece?

it was probably intentional, considering the angle the sun is shining at. also if the original picture was take by camera, your eyes get cross eyed the closer an object gets

hmmmmmm....*thinking about title*.....the fence is symbolizing something....a boundary....and the lighting looks like sunrise or sunset sooo the start or the end of something....
18.5" x 27.5"! dang that's huge!!!!!! I didn't know that people did watercolors on a large scale
