All of your work has been a pleasure to view, and this one is no exception. In fact, it's probably one of my favorites. The composition is very strong and does a great job in containing the environment. The S-curve leads the viewer into the scene (as it should.) It also provides a good color contrast\transition. The gray weaves in and out of the brown and eventually blends into the grayish mountains. Very cool.

i'll be those gummi bears got a little mushy... i love the combination of lines in this - those of the road, the uneven horizon, the whisps of high-altitude cloud (stratus or alto-stratus? it's been a while since i took a science class...). my eyes could wander around this endlessly. it makes me think of colorado just a little and my family there, and wish i could be there. ah... come christsmas, i will.

So [i]this[/i] is where you've been hiding. I can feel the harshness and the emptiness through the sky, and through the parched palette. What makes this so good to look at is the flow of the elements, in a beautiful smooth curve upwards - the road might go on forever snaking through the hills. oh, and as a student of geography, i dig those rock formations

The only reason for not faving it is that the landscape it too dry for my tastes; but other than that, it's truly an amazing photograph, somebody should consider a DD!
