Aaand the next one, now by Shiragaza , original here: TLK/G Characters Challenge - 8th Edition

I know most of the character names in this challenge are just the old names for the canon existing characters, but I`ve decided to use these names for some character versions of mine lol

Nadra - Nala`s original name. Here Nadra is a totally different character, she is a lioness from the Moon Lake pride (where also Tanglemane, Sarafina and her relatives come from in my headcanon) and she is real mother of Vitani and her two sisters, Nuru and Sanamu (my OCs). She has a typical traits of the lionesses of her pride, having pale sandy fur, violet-ish eyes and has no "gloves" on her paws. But she has unusual little hair tuft and pretty dark nose. Gentle and shy lioness, living an ordinary life near the coast shore, until one day she met a stranger, almost dying male, exhausted and fighting for his life. He turned out to be a rogue from far Outlands. He told that he was driven away from his pride by the newly came male lions and that he was chased by them for so long he couldn`t even count the days. Nadra felt really sorry for the stranger and wanted to help him, though she knew the Outlander wasn`t welcomed here on her pride`s territory. She suggested he could heal and be safe in the cave on the shore since the beach was usually a neutral territory where no lions live. The stranger agreed, saying there`s nothing left to lose for him anyway. With time passing, the male`s wounds healed and even though he was still grumpy, always sarcastic and sometimes rude, Nadra quickly grew warm relationship towards him. The stranger was happy too. Even though he lost his home, the small cave on the seashore was thousand times better that he ever had. And also now he had such a beautiful and caring friend and lately, lover. The pair then decided to move out of the Moon Lake pride`s territory to create their own family.

Shetani - original Vitani`s name, but in my version this is a name for Vitani`s real father. He was that one stranger that Nadra met and of whom she took care. He couldn`t even remember anything remarkable to tell Nadra about his earlier life in the Outlands. Dirt, heat, fighting for food, hyenas, illnesses... Shetani happily forgot all of it. His tough life surely influenced his personality so sometimes he can be too harsh of rude, but with the help of Nadra he learns to be more gentle, something that no outlander can let himself be.

Originally Bianca (meaning "white") is original name for Zira, I`ve changed it to Nyeupe ("white, clear") for a far ancestor of Zira`s family in my headcanon version. The "white plague" is his nickname since not only he looks really ill and like a ghost, he was the one who started the war between the Outlands and Pridelands once again after the short peace. He was the inspiration for Scar because he used the forces of the hyenas to try fighting for the throne, but luckily he failed and was killed. But even though he died, he had his cubs to continue his lineage and also the potential evil he carried...

Nunka - originally Kovu`s name, I used it for Kovu`s sister. Kovu and Nunka in my headcanon are descendants of the Tree of Life`s lions. Kovu was stolen by Zira while he was still a newborn. Nunka was born after that and stayed for her whole life in the Tree of Life territory, never even knowing she has a brother. Not only a brother but the future king of the Pridelands.

Nala`s father (Sukari is the name I chose for him). Well, tried to make him look more like Nala but also tried to make him look close to the colours from that famous wall painting of him. He is also from the Moon Lake pride. Tanglemane is his father. He is far descendant of the old ruler of the Moon Lake pride. Sukari initially was in Scar`s Guard as the Keenest of Sight, but he soon died in an accident (that was secretly caused by Scar) when Nala was still a newborn.

Mtoto - Simba`s cousin. In my family tree he is son of Diku (Sarabi`s sister) and Chuma (Scar`s lion guard`s Bravest), mate to Tama and father of Tiifu. He had a happy life in the Pridelands, being one of Simba`s playmates, though they were contacting rather rarely. He was struggling to survive while Scar`s era and even had to leave his home, but when Scar was defeated he came back to his homelands and started his own family with Tama, his childhood friend. He barely knew his father since Chuma was killed by Scar when Mtoto was very young. Diku tried her best to grow Mtoto, and she succeded thanks to the help of her sisters and pride.
